The Morse Church Vision

  • A 21st century expression of the 1st Century church
  • A church for the largest “denomination” in Johnson County: the 51% of the people who do not go to church.
  • Growing big by “growing small” -
    – multiple faces leading
    – multiple worship formats at
    – multiple times and in
    – multiple places.

Values of the Morse Church

Devotional
Human beings are created to worship God and to grow in a relationship with God.
“You shall love the Lord with all of your heart, soul, and mind.”

Missional
We exist as a church be to a blessing to the entire world.
“You shall love neighbor as yourself.”

Connectional
“If one falls, his friend can help him up. But pity the person who has no one to help him.”

Biblical
God speaks to us through the Word and we want to listen.

Our Methods

We come together on Sundays to:

  • Hear the word of God (read or recalled)
  • Pray with one another, for one another and for the world
  • Exhort and encourage one another
  • Worship God with psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs

8:15 a.m. Traditional Carols & Holy Communion

9:45 a.m. Music in Contemporary Arrangements; Relevant Talks; Holy Communion

The 1st century welcomed all ages into worship services. We follow this practice at Morse Church. However, as a convenience, we offer safe, fun, instructive, and loving care for children up to kindergarten age.
